Basra Branch:

Widow appeals to people of mercy and humanity   


As part of the ongoing field visits to assess families suffering living difficulties, staff from Basra Branch visited the widow, Najat J. M and her family.  She lives with her daughter in a small room in her family's house. The room lacks basic living essentials which she cannot afford to provide, due to her difficult financial situation.

Najat’s husband died and left her with three daughters.  Two of the elder daughters married and a minor girl is still in her care.

In desperation, this mother appealed for help from Al-Shakiry Charity.


The family urgently needs: 

- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 25.000 IQD (approx. £15) per month for the minor orphan.

- A donation of 175.000 IQD (approx. £105) to buy a cooker.

- A donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. £150) to buy a refrigerator.

- A donation of 125.000 IQD (approx. £75) to buy a TV screen.

We ask benefactors to consider this family's harsh living conditions and extend a helping hand to them.
