Poor family suffering from poverty appeals for help

Staff from Basra Branch visited the family of the poor lady Angham A.GH.

The family consists of six members, living in a simple agricultural house in need of some construction, restoration and household appliances.  Due to their poor financial situation, the family cannot afford these costs. 

This family has no source of income, apart from a small salary which the father earns from his work in the municipality. His monthly salary is 170.000 IQD (approx. £102) which is insufficient to provide for their needs.

Three of their children are in full time education.  The location of their school is a far distance from their residence.  The parents pay 45.000 IQD (approx. £27) for their transportation.  The children also need school supplies.

To help this family, they need:

- A donation of 100.000 IQD (approx. £60) to buy clothes

- A donation of 175.000 IQD (approx. £105) to buy a cooker

- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine

We hope that people of compassion and humanity will extend a helping hand to this family, to alleviate their suffering.
