Poor, struggling family appeals to people of mercy for support

Staff from Basra Branch visited a poor lady, Siham, DH. D and her family.  The family consists of six members living in a rented house costing 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) per month.  The house lacks basic household supplies which they are unable to buy due to their poor financial conditions.

The father suffers from a disease which causes blockages in the arteries of the eye.  Due to cute inflammation, he now requires eye surgery which will cost 3,000,000 IQD (approx. £1800).  Siham is a poor man.  He cannot afford to see the doctors, let alone have an operation.

Previously Siham worked for a private company earning a small salary to pay for his family’s welfare.  But after his illness and the deterioration of his health condition that followed, he had to leave work.  He has no other income apart from small donations he received from time to time from kind benefactors.

Two of their children are still in full time education.

This family are suffering extremely harsh living conditions and now appeal for help.

To support this family, they need ...

- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) per month.

- A donation of 300.000 IQD (approx. £180) to buy a freezer.

- A donation of 175.000 IQD (approx. £105) to buy a cooker.

- A donation of 125.000 IQD (approx. £75) to buy a TV screen.
