Widow and her four orphans appeal for help

Staff from Najaf Branch paid a visit to the widow Iman A. A and her family.  The family consists of five members: the mother and her four orphans, three of whom are still at school.  One of her sons left school in order to earn a meagre income, working in a market pushing a cart.  Her sister lives with them and helps Iman and her orphans as much as she can.

The head of the family died following a medical error when visiting the hospital.  He left the orphans in the care of their mother. She has taken on all the responsibility, but she has no salary or source of income except for simple charitable help she receives from kind benefactors.  This is insufficient to meet the family’s needs.

The family lacks the most basic household necessities, which they cannot purchase due to their poor financial conditions.

To help this family, they need:

- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) per orphan (x4) per month.

- A donation of 300.000 IQD (approx. £180) to buy a refrigerator.

- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.

- A donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £90) to pay towards school supplies.

We hope that people of humanity will consider the situation of the orphans' family and provide them with the assistance they need so that they may lead a decent life.
