Family of orphans appeal for a helping hand

Staff from Najaf Branch visited the widow, Suhaila, A.A., who lives with her orphans and her brother in a room inside a school, where her brother works as a guard.

They have no income to meet their living needs except a small social welfare benefit and her brother's meagre salary.

Her orphans are in full time education despite the family's difficult situation.

This family cannot meet their basic needs after losing their only breadwinner. The children have many needs including school supplies which the mother cannot provide.

This family needs:

- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) for each orphan (x2)

- A donation of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) to buy a heater.

- A donation of 300.000 IQD (approx. £180) to buy a refrigerator.

- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.

This family, exhausted by poverty and deprivation, appeal to benevolent people to extend a helping hand to them. ...
