Najaf Branch:

Widowed mother of five orphans in need of help and assistance. 

Staff from Najaf Branch visited the widow Nadira H .A. She and her five orphans live in a room in her in-laws' house, located in the slum area.

Their house lacks the most basic means of living.

This poor widow does not have any source of income to help her manage the difficulties of life, and to provide for the needs of her children, apart from a social welfare benefit she receives of 320.000 IQD (approx. £190) per month.

One of her sons suffers from a "spinal deviation" that makes movement difficult for him. He requires support.

Her other orphans are in full time education.

The branch staff and the widow appeal to benevolent people who follow the humanitarian work of Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity, to look with favour at the family's situation, and to reach out and extend a helping hand to them.

This family are in need of:

- Monthly Orphan Sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) per orphan (x5)

- A Donation of 350.000 IQD (approx. £200) to buy a refrigerator.

- A Donation of 200.00 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a cooker.
