Poor widow appeals for help to meet her orphans' needs

Staff from Najaf Branch visited a poor widow Nora H.K. and her family.

The widow suffers under very difficult circumstances.  Following the death of her husband in a traffic accident, she is now solely responsible for the care of her three orphans aged between 7-15 years.

This poor woman lives with her orphans in a rented house costing 150.000 IQD (approx. £90) per month.  The house lacks many basic necessities.  Nora is unable to provide these for the family due to her dire financial destitution.

The family receives a social welfare benefit of 325.000 IQD (approx. £195). but it is not enough to meet their needs, and they are reliant on the help they receive from kind benefactors.

The orphans are in full time education.  They need school supplies and money to pay for transport to and from school.  One of the children suffers from"chronic asthma" and needs treatment.

This family needs:

-An orphan sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £ 30) per month, per child (x3)

- A Donation  of 150.000 IQD (approx. £90) to pay for school materials.

- A Donation  of 120.000 IQD (approx. £70) to buy a refrigerator.

The branch staff appeal to people of mercy and compassion to extend a helping hand to this poor mother and her orphans.
