Family suffering disease and poverty appeal to benevolent people for help.

Najaf Branch staff visited the family of a poor woman, Wijdan T. A. She lives with her sick husband and four children in a house, in a slum area.  Their home lacks the most basic essentials, .

The husband suffers from a stroke and needs treatment. Their children are still in education despite the poor financial conditions.  The woman drives her daughters to school because she cannot pay the cost of transportation fares. One of her daughters suffers from viral hepatitis and her ongoing treatment costs 15,000 IQD (approx. £10) per session.

The family has no source of income other than help they receive from good people and relatives.  Sadly, this is not enough to meet their needs. This family lives under very difficult conditions and, in desperation, Wijdan  has appealed to benefactors for support, through Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity.

To help this family, they need:

- Medical sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) to pay for treatment.

- A Donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.

- A Donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £90 ) to purchase blankets and mattresses.

The Branch's staff hopes that people of charity will reach out to extend a helping hand to this family, and provide for their needs.
