Najaf Branch:

Poor woman appeals for support to fund her home industry project

As one of the regular follow-up visits to productive families, Staff from Najaf Branch visited the widow Ibtisam A.A.  She lives with her five orphans, her son and daughter-in-law in the slum area of the governate. They cannot afford to buy the most basic essentials for their house.

Since the death of her husband, this mother has taken care of her orphans, who are still in full time education, as well as look after her disabled daughter.  Their living conditions are extremely difficult.

Ibtisam sells clothes online in order to provide for the most important needs of her family, and her disabled daughter.

She visited the branch’s headquarters, and presented her home project, in the hopes of receiving some support for it.

One of the widow's sons had to leave school to earn a daily wage to help his family.  They have no source of income except for a social welfare benefit of 120.000 IQD (approx. £75), which is not enough to meet their needs.

To help this widow, she needs:

- A Donation of 600.000 IQD (approx. £360) to purchase stock for her project.

- A Donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £90) to buy an air cooler.

Branch staff and the widow's family hope that people of charity would extend a helping hand to them.
