A poor widow appeals to benefactors for support

Staff from Najaf Branch visited the family of Mrs. Nisreen. F.R. This family consists of five members living in a house built without permission. The dilapidated roof on their house is made of wooden sticks. Furthermore, the house lacks the most basic household essentials, due to their poor financial situation.

The family has no source of income, except for minor charitable assistance they receive from kind benefactors.  This is not enough to cover their expenses and the costs of the orphans, all of whom are in full time education.

In an endeavour to improve the family’s situation, the widow has taken up sewing classes. She approached staff at the branch to appeal for support to purchase a sewing machine so that she can start working on her project to enable her to support her orphans.

To help this family, they need:

- Monthly Orphan Sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) per orphan (x4)

- A Donation of 300.000 IQD (approx. £180) to buy a sewing machine.

- A Donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a cooker

- A Donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.

We call on people of humanity and generosity to consider the plight of this family and help alleviate their suffering.
