Poor family suffering mental disabilities need assistance

Staff from Basra Branch paid a visit to the family of Mr. R.A.T. The family lives in a dilapidated house that is in need of basic household items, and restoration of the walls and roof, which do not protect them from rain or the heat of the sun.

The family does not have any source of income apart from a simple subsidy they receive from kind benefactors.

The family consists of an elderly sister who suffers from psychological and mental disorders, and her brother who has been mentally ill for several years.  Despite her own illness, the daughter provides care for her brother. Their older brother provides for some of their needs despite his illness and age.

The family suffers from their extremely harsh living conditions. They need someone to stand with them in their difficult circumstances.

To help the family they need:

- A Donation of 100.000 IQD (approx. £60) to buy mattresses.

- A Donation of 175.000 IQD (approx. £105) to buy a washing machine.

- A Donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a cooker.

- A Donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. £150) to buy a refrigerator

- A Donation of 125.000 IQD (approx. £75) to buy a TV screen.  

We hope that kind-hearted and compassionate people will consider the situation of this family, and support them overcome even a small part of their hardship
