Poor grandmother appeals to benefactors to help grandchildren

Staff from Najaf Branch visited a poor lady Sabiha A.N. and her family.  The family consists of four members: grandmother, grandfather and their two grandchildren.

They all live in a house built without planning permission. Their home lacks some basic household essentials, which they cannot afford due to their poor financial situation.

The father of the orphans was involved in a fatal accident, which meant that the responsibility of caring for them fell upon their grandmother.

One of the children is still in full-time education.

The family has no source of income and does not receive a social welfare benefit.  They rely on help from benefactors, from time to time.

The grandmother suffers from chronic diseases and needs checkups and medication.

To help this family, they need:

- Ongoing monthly Orphan Sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) per child (x2)

- A Donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £90) to buy a cooker.

- A Donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.

- A Donation of 100.000 IQD (approx. £60) to purchase household needs.

We hope that people of compassion and generosity will look at the dire situation of this family and extend a helping hand to them.
