Widow appeals for a helping hand

Staff from Bayaa Branch visited the family of the widow Lamia A.  This family consists of a mother and four orphans who live in a house built without planning permission.

Lamia’s husband died of Covid.  All her orphans are still in full time education. The widow would like to buy a sewing machine, in order that she can use it to generate an income to support herself and her orphans.

To help this family, they need:

- Monthly Orphan Sponsorship of 25.000 IQD (approx. £15) for each orphan (x4)

- A Donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy an air cooler.

- A Donation of 250.000 IQD (approx. £150) to buy a washing machine.

Or a Family Assistance Sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) per month to secure all the family needs.

The staff of the branch and the family appeal to people of charity to extend a helping hand to them.
