Sadr City Branch:

Widow appeals to benevolent people for help

Staff from Sadr City Branch visited the widow, Maryam J M, and her family.  They live in a rented house for which they pay 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) per month.

She has four children, all of whom are still in full-time education and are excelling academically.

One of her children suffers from a Mediterranean anemia disease (thalassemia + sickle cell) and requires special treatments and continuous life blood transfusions.

This family is facing difficult living conditions; they receive no financial income other than a social welfare benefit that does not cover their living expenses and the educational costs for the children.

In desperation, the poor widow turned to Al-Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity to appeal to benefactors for assistance.

To help this family, they need:

- Monthly Orphan Sponsorship of 25,000 IQD (approx. £15) per month per each orphan (x4)

-An Education Sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) per month per orphan (x4)

A Donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.
