Mother of an orphaned girl appeals to people of humanity to help alleviate her suffering

Staff from Basra Branch visited Mariam A. A. (a widow) and her family.

The family consists of five members: the widow and her four orphans. They live in a dilapidated, makeshift home that requires essential supplies, which they cannot afford to buy due to their dire financial situation.

The impoverished widow has no source of income other than a small social welfare benefit, which is insufficient to provide food for her children.

This mother has a young daughter, Malak, who suffers from 'congenital disability,' and her condition has worsened. Currently, her small body is afflicted with skin ulcers.

The family suffers from the harshest living conditions, and they appeal to people of generosity and compassion to lend them a helping hand, especially for the treatment of the young girl who desperately needs medical care and frequent checkups with specialists.

To help this family, they need:

- A Donation of 500,000 IQD (approx. £300) to pay for the necessary treatment for the young daughter.

- Monthly Orphan Sponsorship of 25,000 IQD (approx. £15) per orphan (4) per month.

- A Donation of 300,000 IQD (approx. £180) to purchase a freezer.

- A Donation of 250,000 IQD (approx. £150) to buy a refrigerator.

- A Donation of 100,000 IQD (approx. £60) to buy mattresses.

Basra Branch staff hope that benefactors will not hesitate to assist this family in supplying some of their essential needs, especially health-related ones.
