Basra Branch:

Poor family is appealing for assistance.

Staff from Basra Branch visited the family of Mrs. Rahima S. GH. for a second time.

The family consists of four members. They live in a house donated to them for a temporary period by a charitable person.

The house lacks the most basic household necessities that they cannot provide due to their poor financial situation. They have no source of income other than a modest social welfare benefit.

The father suffers from 'multiple clots' which have made him unable to work or move. They also have a 23-year-old son suffering from 'hepatic jaundice' – he needs medical check-ups and ongoing monthly treatment.

The family suffers from extreme poverty.  They have previously appealed for assistance through Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity.

The poor mother expressed her desire to obtain a sewing machine so that she could start working with it and support her family.

To assist this family, they need:

- A Donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a sewing machine.

- A Donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a cooker.  

- A Donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.

We hope that people of compassion will look at the situation of this poor family and the difficulties they are facing.
