Widowed mother of six orphans seeks help

The branch staff visited the family of the widow Hayat J. M., who lives with her parents and six orphans. This mother bears the responsibility of her children and is determined that they continue their education. She lives in a cycle of poverty and need, in addition to bearing the responsibility of providing for her family’s welfare.

Hayat receives a monthly social welfare benefit of 270.000 IQD (approx. £160). One of her orphans suffers from epilepsy and requires monthly treatment. Having assessed their situation, this family requires many basic items.

They urgently need:

• A medical sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £15) per month
• A Donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a stove.
• A Donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £90) to buy a washing machine

We have great hope that kind-hearted people would provide assistance and support to this poor and dignified family of orphans.
