Back to School Campaign - Our Humanitarian Mission

Hand in hand, Iraqi children press forward on their educational journey.

As part of its Guidance and Social Awareness Programme, Shakiry Charity for Social Welfare is proud to launch a renewed humanitarian campaign to collect donations in support of orphans and underprivileged families registered with our branches across Iraq. This vital initiative aims to equip children with the essentials they need to return to school for the upcoming academic year 2025–2026.

Thanks to your generous support, families will be able to redeem the food and clothing cards they receive through Shakiry Charity shops, selecting the items most needed for their children's schooling. The cost to provide for children under the Back to School Campaign is 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) per underprivileged family. Your donations will help provide school uniforms, stationery, and durable school bags - tools that empower learning and foster dignity.

As the school year begins, let us join forces to spark joy in the hearts of children whose lives have been shaped by poverty and hardship. Together, we can restore hope and invest in a brighter future for them all.
