Woman suffering from poverty and deprivation appeals for assistance

The branch staff visited the household of the poor woman, Suhad K.S.  The family consists of the mother and her son, a middle school student, living in a dilapidated house built without permission and lacking basic household necessities.

Suhad cannot provide for her and her son’s needs due to her poor financial situation.  She has no source of income apart from a small social welfare benefit of 175,000 IQD (approx. £105), which she receives monthly.

The woman has been separated from her husband for 15 years.  He left her and her son and has not inquired about them since then. Suhad is singularly responsible for the welfare and wellbeing of her son.

Suhad suffers from asthma and high blood pressure and needs regular medical reviews and treatment.  Her son suffers from chronic asthma.

The family is experiencing extremely difficult living conditions.  They desperately need someone to extend a helping hand to them.

To assist the family, they need:

- A Donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £90) to buy beddings.

- A Donation of 175,000 IQD (approx. £105) to buy a stove.

- A Donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine.

-A Donation of 250,000 IQD (approx. £150) to buy a refrigerator.
