Elderly widow appeals to good people for help

Staff from Grayaat Branch paid a second visit to the home of the widow and blind lady, Halima Y.KH, to review her living conditions and her ongoing health.

They found that she shares an inherited house with relatives.  She has no fixed source of income except for help from generous benefactors.   Her home lacks the simplest requirements for a decent life. 

Halima suffers from several diseases, including loss of sight in one eye as a result of a failed operation, and visual impairment in the other eye.  According to her medical report, she also suffers from hypertension and chronic diabetes.

This lady urgently needs:

- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 100.000 IQD (approx. £70) per month to maintain follow-up medical reviews

- A donation of 225.000 IQD (approx. £155) to buy a gas cooker with accessories.

- A donation of 100.000 IQD (approx. £70) to buy mattresses and blankets for the winter season.

- A monthly food basket worth 50,000 IQD (approx. £35) to provide food to her.

Grayaat Branch staff call on people of compassion to extend a helping hand to this poor lady in whichever way they can.
