Destitute, elderly father appeals for help to support his 5 children


Following a previous appeal for help, staff from Basra Branch revisited the family of Lifteh K.KH.  They discovered that this poor father and his family, continue to suffer under the harsh living conditions they endure.

The family lives in a dilapidated house which was built without permission, and is unsuitable for habitation.  The house lacks the most basic necessities. 

This elderly father is the sole provider for the family.  He has five children, some of whom attend school. Because of his age, it is hard for to Lifteh to find a job. The family has no other source of income to provide for their needs in terms of food and drink.

This family needs: -

- A donation of 170.000 IQD (approx. £115) to buy a cooker.

- A donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £105) to buy a washing machine.

- A donation of 500.000 IQD (approx. £340) to repair the roof of the house.

Branch staff appeal to good-hearted people not to hesitate in extending a helping hand to this father and his five children.
