Memorial Service for the late Haj Abdul Sahib Al-Shakiry (May Allah Have Mercy on Him)

Allah Almighty said:

"Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear record."
(Surat Yasin: verse 12)

Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity – Basra Branch held a condolence and memorial service for the late Haj Abdul Sahib Muhammad Al-Shakiry (may Allah have mercy on him), founder of the charity, and patron of its charitable work.  The service was held at the Basra Branch headquarters on Monday, 3 November 2025. It was attended by several poor families, orphans, and the charity’s staff.

The gathering included recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an and Surah Al-Fatiha for his pure soul. Sadaqah (charity) was distributed on his behalf. His life, marked by generosity and compassion in caring for orphans and supporting the poor, was honoured, together with the lasting impact he left on all who knew him.

This Council comes in recognition of his noble approach and in commemoration of his journey full of giving, as Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity continues to carry out its humanitarian mission, following in his footsteps in supporting orphans and underprivileged families and promoting the values of compassion and solidarity in society.

May God have mercy on the late benefactor Haj Abdul Sahib Al-Shakiry, grant him paradise as his abode, and reward everyone who prayed for him and followed his path with the best recompense.

Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity remains steadfast in its humanitarian mission, founded by its late leader, and continues to play a pioneering role in serving communities and supporting the poor across Iraq’s provinces.
