The UK's leading childrens charity NCH is ending its reliance on Excel spreadsheets and consolidating its financial data into one central database.
Cognos TM1 will house the charitys budgeting and financial planning data currently held on 2,000 Excel spreadsheets. The charity hopes that having a central resource will make financial management both less consuming and costly.
"The process used prior to TM1 was too time-consuming for the charity. With TM1, NCH will be able to do essential revisions quickly and efficiently, becoming far more cost effective in both the short and long-term", said Mark Geagan, project manager at NCH.
NCH also plans to exploit TM1s dashboard capability for performance management and general reporting.
