Next Phase of Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity
Mr Ali Al‑Shakiry was duly elected to serve as the Chairman of Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity, in accordance with resolutions reached at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Trustees on 20th November 2025.
It was furthermore resolved that Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity will no longer accept any form of Islamic dues, including Zakat al‑Fitra, Expiations (Kaffarah), Restitution of Wrongs, Khums in both categories, Zakat, or vows (Nadhr). This decision has been issued in line with the directives of Mr Ali Al‑Shakiry of Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity.
Individuals who hold any of these religious dues are kindly advised to refer to the offices of the representatives of the religious authorities.
The Charity will continue to receive general donations, orphan sponsorships (both in‑kind and financial contributions), which will be distributed to beneficiary families registered with the branches of Al‑Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity, Iraq.
