Poor lady appeals to Benefactors to help her young grandchildren

Staff from Najaf Branch visited the widow, Sabiha A. N. and her family.  They found that she and her husband live with their two orphaned grandchildren in an illegal house.  Their home lacks many essential household items.

Their financial situation worsened following the death of the children’s father.  He died in an accident, and their mother subsequently left the home, leaving the grandparents fully responsible for the care of the orphans. This is especially challenging as the grandmother suffers from chronic illnesses and requires ongoing treatment and medication.  In addition to their daily living expenses, the children require financial support to pay for their school supplies and clothing.

The family does not receive any social welfare support and has no source of income other than small donations they receive from charitable individuals. They are enduring extremely difficult living conditions and are in urgent need of assistance from compassionate supporters.

To assist this family, they need: 

- Monthly Orphan Sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £30) per orphan per month (x3)

- A Donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £90) to buy a cooker. 

- A Donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a washing machine. 

It is hoped that people of generosity and goodness will look with compassion upon the suffering of this family and extend a helping hand to them.
