Orphans appeal to kind people following loss of parents

The Basra Branch team visited the young girl Zahraa and her family.  Zahraa became responsible for her siblings following the death of their father and the subsequent suicide of their mother, who had suffered chronic depression after her husband’s death, when full responsibility for the children suddenly fell on her shoulders.

This young family lives in rented accommodation costing 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) per month. 

Please help this family.  They urgently need:

- Monthly Orphan Sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) per orphan (x5)

- A Donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £90) to buy some bedding and clothes for the children.

- A Donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) to purchase a washing machine.

- A Donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a fridge.

We hold great hope in your kindness and generosity to support these children, who have been exhausted by poverty and the loss of their parents.
