16/05/2008

The Lady Fatemah (a.s.) Charitable Trust September Lodge, Village way, Little Chalfont Buckinghamshire HP7 9PU May 2008 Medical Referral Program, Iran (April 2008)111 patients were treated during April making the total of 2,808 Patients Treated between October 2005 and April 2008 including 797 children aged 18 and 20 Cancer patients LFT Donors Please continue donating towards this Project  You must avail yourselves of five things before facing five others: life before death; health before illness, leisure before occupation, young days before old days, and wealth before poverty (Prophet Muhammad (saw)) In the past two months, the MRP office in Tehran began to closely cooperate with  Mufid Children’s hospital. In April 2008, IRAC assisted the families of three of Mufid Hospital’s little patients: ·         25-days-old Mohammad Reza Ahmedi suffered from a congenital malformation of his anus. Without surgery, the child would not have survived. Mohammad’s father works as an agricultural labourer, gaining shortly over 100 GBP per month. The family lives in one of the poorest suburbs of Tehran. Little Mohammad will hopefully live a totally normal life and will never be reminded that he had a life-threatening condition when he was born.·         Ali Asghar Moradi suffered from a harelip. The one-year-old had trouble swallowing and eating solid food, and his condition was beginning to affect his growth. With assistance from IRAC, the family was able to pay for his surgery without going through too much hardship. We wish little Ali that he grows up to be a strong man and assists in building the new Afghanistan.·         The third little patient, Fatemeh Barbari’s newborn daughter, had to be hospitalized from the day she was born. The little girl had not developed sufficiently before birth and needed to live in an incubator until her lungs matured.·         A fourth little patient was Hussein Ghazi Mohammad al-Ghazlat. This 11-year-old boy lives in Najaf in Iraq. Hussein’s father was executed by Saddam’s regime when Hussein was only one year old. Hussein suffers from congenital heart disease since birth and had come to Iran to undergo surgical correction of his condition. The cost of surgery will be carried by a private donor. However, due to his age, the doctors decided that Hussein will need a course of treatment with medications to strengthen his heart so that it can support the surgery. In addition to offering translation services, IRAC paid for Hussein’s tests and medications from the MRP. Please, keep this little patient in your prayers.Three children look forward to a bright future, and another child has now hope of being cured in the future, thanks to the assistance IRAC’s MRP could offer due to your generosity, dear LFT donors. Many more refugee children, and many little patients from Iraq, are in need of treatment. Please, continue to donate towards this project! Signed: Management IRAC, Iran Statistics
