Feedback on the services provided by the Iraqi Charities Forum

Boran’s message

After receiving continuous letters of appeal from some Iraqis nationally and internationally, concerning illness situations that were in need of treatment, and other humanitarian conditions, the Iraqi Charities Forum published the appeals on its website: www.iraqicharities.org, and succeeded in achieving pleasing results, since most of the beneficent Iraqis, nationally and internationally responded to those appeals and presented magnificent support and help to the applicants , varying between insuring the travel costs and treatment; fully or partially, and between financial help, and help through goods such as insuring medication, food and clothing, in addition to the moral support that is as important at this level. Many letters of thanks and gratitude were received by us from the needy people, expressing their happiness and joy at receiving the help that they needed.

We have in our possession a letter written by an Iraqi lady, Mrs Boran Abbas, who is an asylum seeker in Syria, which shows the importance of the connection between the people in need and the beneficent people, of which we hope everyone is, without exception.

The details of the letter are as follows:

“In the name of Allah, the beneficent the merciful.

“I thank you very much for your concern for me and for my family and for displaying my suffering and, as they say: “Anybody who prompts to do good is at the same level as or is as the doer of that good itself”

. And you are the associates of grace in saving an Iraqi family from destruction.

“Truly you are the best people I have met in my life, proven by your generosity and your principles; may God bless you and I wish you success in everything He loves and approves of.

“Thanks to God, as soon as you displayed my story, the Iraqi brothers called me from all over the world and helped supply my needs, and one of the Iraqi brothers even asked one of his relatives in Syria to take care of my needs, and another one paid for my rent for as long as I needed to stay in Syria and complete my arrangements, and until my return to Iraq.

“The honourable and principled Iraqis did not hesitate to help me at all, especially the brother that called me from your forum to check on me, and gave me Sayyid Fadhil Al-Khirsan’s number to call, according to his request, and the kind Sayyid Fadhil Al-Khirsan helped me with 1000 US Dollars.

“Praise be to the kind Lord, for helping me in contacting you, and for assisting you in giving me a helping hand, after the people who we thought were honourable, abandoned us, like the government superiors and religious ministers who don’t furnish the money that comes to them to the people who are in need of those rights, like us.

“I thank you again and may God bless you in helping the oppressed Iraqi nation.

Your sister, Boran Mahdi Abbas”
