ESOL Entry 3 / Level 1 for Refugee & Migrant
WomenQualified Nurses and Midwives
This course is for unemployed refugee and migrant women with ILR, ELR/HP. The course will run 3 days a week for 12 weeks from 10.00am to 2.30 pm. Travel Expenses will be paid. The course will include the following sessions: Breast Cancer Care, Diabetes, Mental Health, Maternity and Midwifery care, Elderly care and Support Work, Information on Bridging Course and much more… All sessions will be delivered by health experts.

The Role of Apprentices in the Recession
12 February 2009, 2pm - 4pm, London
This session will look at the contribution apprenticeship can make to the economy in the context of the current recession. Specifically, it will consider the role of apprenticeships and the link to raising the participation age to the age of 18, offering skilled opportunities for 18-24 year olds, reducing unemployment amongst 16-24 year olds and expanding training opportunities for adults over 25.
