Ministry of Labor has ambitious projects to create jobs for the unemployed

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs adopted a set of programs and projects aimed at providing employment opportunities for the unemployed in the country.

Dr. Riyadh Al-Hassan, director of the employment service and vocational training stated that to the independent press (Iba) "his Ministry will continue coordinating and planning with some of the organizations and funding countries to pay  attention to youth ages 15-30 years in the province of Basra through the application of training program is to train young people. Within the vocational training centers in the province and serves a variety of terms of reference of the labor market with the provision of material incentives and rewarding period of two months followed by contracting directly with employers in the same occupations, which trains the unemployed to engage in work with them for a period of ten months, and the salaries paid by the organization and the employer. "

Dr Riaz said that the program will cover at least (450) young people in different locations at the center of the province of Basra and Khawr al-Zubayr and Abu al-Khasib, in addition program will provide  approximately 100 workshop or shop owner in the private with trained labor and their wages. "

It should be noted that the employment service and vocational training are working to provide opportunities for decent work for the unemployed, as well as the strengthening and development of vocational training programs and to strengthen the programme to cover a wide range of disciplines and to expand to most provinces.
