International health: 3300 case has been sent for treatment outside the country

The Director of the Department of Health, Dr. Ramzi  Alrasoul Mansoursaid more than more than 3300 patients  has been sent for treatment outside the country during the period from June 2007 to June 2008.

He added a statement to the reporter (of the Iraqi News Agency Information / INA) that "the cases were treated and fully benefited from the surgical interventions carried out, adding that the project is ongoing and the number of monthly patient sent  is between180 to 200 who seen by  to a specialist  Medical teams .

Ramsey said that "the international health in turn sent a number of Iraqi doctors who hold higher degrees of Masters and PhD  to develop and refine their skills and learn the new technology and knowledge and the transfer of modern medical knowledge into Iraq. The result was that Iraqi doctors for were able to perform  8 of the major operations that were failing in Iraq prior to the dispatch of such missions, operations including the cultivation of ears of children and cornea transplants and a glass eye and some open-heart surgery for adults, adults and the replacement of the joints and the knee and hip.
