In response to an appeal published on 19/03/2012, Mr Radha Al Baghdadi, an Iraqi donor residing in London, allocated a monthly salary of 300,000 Iraqi Dinar (about $250) to the following 4 children suffering from various disabilities (Athraa, Ali, Banin, and Abas), as well as their disabled father.
Mr Ahmed al Baghdadi accompanied by Mr Abid Al Sahib Kuba (a staff member of Najaf Centre) paid a visit to the family on 02/05/2012 personally to deliver the first monthly payment.
Subsequent monthly payments will be made through Najaf Centre to Ms Batul Nuaman (head of the family), who will be responsible for the care of the family. The family consists of 8 persons, in addition to the mother-in-law and grandmother, aged 93, all of whom live in one house. They suffer from extreme poverty and severe deprivation. They have no one to look after them and rely on the generosity of people, such as Mr al Baghdadi.
The family lives in an illegitimate house in Al Milad district in Najaf. The house lacks most of the basic means of normal living, and is in extremely bad condition due to the humid conditions.
The names of the disabled family members are as follows:
