Boy patient, Ali Abbas,needs to undergo a surgical operation in the hospitals of Erbil in order to repair the damaged nerve caused by the entry of a splinter in his thigh damaging the main nerve in the leg and leaving a gash thereon.The cost of the operation is about two to three million Iraqi Dinars.The material circumstances of the family are below average and they do not possess the means to fund the operation since they have spent what they had on four previous operations to extract the splinters from the upper and lower sides, in addition to plastering the right leg and the right arm and an operation to repair a nerve in the middle finger of his left hand.
The patient now needs to undergo the fifth operation (and it is the hardest) to repair the nerve in the left leg which causes a disability in its movement when bending the leg backwards, together with a lack of straightness.
If this operation is not performed within the next two months then the left-side paralysis will endure and strike the boy with complete disability.
