Dhi Qar - Citizens' Advice And Care Centre (Nasiriah branch)
In answer to a call from the head of a needy family, Mr Abd Allah Hidr Shidhir, the centre's staff paid a visit on October 30th 2012 to the family home consisting of a wife and five children. The father suffers from paralysis and remains handicapped, and his wife suffers from acute feminine illnesses. The family lives in wretched material conditions inside the house, built in the Al-Tjawz district, lacking the most basic necessities of life and living - with no water cistern or any running water, with neither electricity,refrigerator nor cooker, and without even lighting or cooking utensils.
After the Centre staff returned to the office they started the ball rolling by seeking donations to help this very poor family, and, as a result of that (and praised be to Allah on high) a donor
was found who promised to give a sum to the value of 150,000 Dinars for the purpose of buying gas lighting and a cooker with a gas bottle, just as clothing and cooking utensils were also collected by the staff and by some other donors.The delivery of the aid to this family will be completed at the soonest possible opportunity.
