The boy Hussein Hadi gets a hearing aid and utters the word
11/12/2012

Baghdad - Citizens' Advice And Care Centre (Sadr City branch).

After performing the necessary tests by a specialised doctor and treating the inflammation therein, the boy Hussein Hadi visited the aural examination centre in Baghdad on 21,11,2012 where an appointment had been made to receive a hearing aid which cost in addition to the specialist's fee 650,000 Iraqi Dinars, taking into account that the price was much more than that before the owner of the centre made discounts out of sympathy with the case.

On the day after the boy received the earpiece the Centre's staff telephoned the boy's mother to ask about the extent to which he accepts the earpiece. To which the mother replied that the boy firstly became aware of the voice, then he tried to imitate the voice, and then his condition developed until he was able to pronounce the word "mama" for the first time in his life amidst the joy of all the family members.

Thus the family of the boy Hussein, who is four years old, offers its generous thanks to all who participated in offering support and especially to the benefactor who donated the cost of the hearing aid.

The Citizen's Advice And Care Centre (Sadr City branch) published an appeal for the above-mentioned child on 23/10/2012 and the appeal was answered by a well-wisher from the UK.
