The auction alone was phenomenal raising over £1000 with George Hedges (ROSY secretary) and Peter Rhoades-Brown entertaining the audience to successfully raise their bids.
The raffle came close raising over £600 and brochure sales from sponsors Parchment the Printers raising £250.
Danielle Scott who especially flew over to open the concert, and who is a major artist in Boston, USA, sang 4 tracks from her new album "The Price of Repression", was well received by the audience as she demonstrated her success in the states through her vocal performance.
The Alvin Roy Quartet (Jazz) and Jada Pearl (R&B) sold out of albums just minutes after their performances. Jada did a special rendition of Witney Houston, I Will Always Love You, that spellbound the audience, a superb vocalist and soulful R&B artist, this young lady will be going far in the very near future, with next performances confirmed at The Cornbury Festival in July.
The Alvin Roy Quartet showed why they have been very successful in the UK for the past 40 years by performing a jazz set with such ease and professionalism playing tracks from their album Hedonism.
Artists Teressa Edwards, Amaliza, G Block and ZUBY complimented the line up and proved that Urban talent is very much alive in Oxford and the UK and can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
Studio 45 Music Production and Promotion of Oxford, demonstrated their professionalism and ability by donating their time and artists to put on this concert, with organiser Cheryl-Lee Foulsham putting together a superb team of dedicated people who themselves worked free of charge to ensure that all money raised went to ROSY.
Special thanks goes to Osprey and Johnnies Sexual Kitchen who donated their sound engineering expertise and equipment.
There will be a special limited edition DVD of 100 copies of the night on sale for £10 each, produced by The Georgia Waite Production Team and sponsored by OFVS who will be producing this DVD for ROSY to help gain additional funding.
