Baghdad - Citizens' Advice And Care Centre (Al-Grayaat branch)

As the result of an appeal for aid which the Centre prepared and published concerning the sick girl Nouri Al-Hadi Hussein, afflicted by the breakdown of the red blood cells, one well-wisher donated the sum of 650,000 Iraqi Dinars to cover the costs of the girl's treatment represented by the purchasing of medicine for five consecutive months. To facilitate the acquirement of this medicine at lower prices the Centre's staff telephoned the pharmacist Mohammed Abd Kadhim, the owner of the Al-Grayaat Pharmacy in the district, who agreed to dispatch the contents of the monthly medical prescription to the mother of the patient after its stamping by the Centre. The discounting of a specific proportion of the selling price of this medicine participated in this philanthropic charitable work.
