Dhi Qar - Citizens' Advice And Care Centre (Al-Nasiriyah branch).
After the publishing of an appeal for aid for the benefit of Mr Raad Awda Awid (Abu Fihid), who complains of weakness of vision and atrophy of the optic nerve and is unemployed with six children, one of whom is deaf and dumb, and all of whom live by selling bags in the markets. They live in the Al-Tijawiz area known as the Tijawiz district Sid Dhab and is located at the end of Street 30 in Al-Nasiriyah. The house lacks the simplest necessities of life in addition to its need for a roof for the bathroom and the sanitary utilities. One well-wisher answered this appeal and offered generous donations, in the wake of which the Centre's staff bought a refrigerator, an oil-heater and other domestic prerequisites in addition to a roof for the bathroom and the sanitary utilities.
The donations spent on the above-mentioned family totalled 442,000 Iraqi Dinars. There follows the details:
Sand and cement: 35,000 Dinars.
Metallic boards for the roof: 40,000 Dinars.
Cost of labour: 25,000 Dinars.
Refrigerator: 300,000 Dinars.
Heater: 28,000 Dinars.
Transport costs: 14,000 Dinars.
Total: 442,000 Dinars.
