Baghdad - Citizens' Advice And Care Centre (Sadr City branch).

 

After the Sadr City Citizens' Advice And Care Centre became known for its activities and the services it offers to the citizens and for its possessing a good reputation, the good folk began arriving at the Centre offering what there finds among them by way of donations -  financial and in kind. Among recent offers was a well-doer from the Al-Baldiat area of Baghdad, who does not wish his name to be mentioned, his donations being as follows: some furnishings, new and second-hand clothing, kitchen apparatus (a gas oven), in addition to meat (a whole lamb) cut and packaged in nylon bags. The Centre's staff immediately distributed this aid to needy families of widows, divorcees and the poor registered with us. The number of families benefiting from this aid totalled twenty-two.
