04/02/2013

On 3/1/13 in response to appeals launched on our internet site an Englishman living in London donated the sum of £4000 for the benefit of needy families, which when converted gave us 7,500,000 Iraqi Dinars. This was distributed as follows:

1.) Three million Iraqi Dinars was distributed among 30 families present in the following appeal:

A list of 31 families living in desperate conditions in urgent need of help.

The sum of 100,000 Dinars to each family, with the exception of the family of Gafran Jasim which was exchanged for the family of Mrs Batoul Yahiah, and erasing the family of Mr Kamal Thajil Nasir which received donations from elsewhere.

2.) 750,000 Iraqi Dinars distributed among seven needy families in Al-Nasiriyah previously the subject of an appeal on the following link:

Seven cases of needy families living in slum dwellings needing urgent help.

3.) 3,750,000 Iraqi Dinars to be distributed shortly to 75 needy families from the Sadr City area of Baghdad. That is 50,000 Iraqi Dinars to each family, to be distributed in the form of a ration card enabling them to get foodstuffs from specific shops, as what happened during the previous blessed month of Ramadhan when hundreds of food parcels were distributed using a system of ration cards.

It is worth mentioning that the anonymous benefactor had previously donated £1200 for the benefit of other cases, as well as donating a monthly payment of 100,000 Iraqi Dinars for the family of Kamal Thajil who is afflicted with schizophrenia.
