Sightsavers International are a charity which was set up in the 1950’s they work to combat blindness in developing countries and restore sight through specialist treatment and eye care. The charity also supports those who are irreversibly blind through education, counselling and training. Sightsavers International aim to help the people who need it most and they care for those living in poverty in some of the world's poorest countries. Last Year for example, Sightsavers international treated over 15.7 million people for potentially blinding conditions and were able to restore the sight to 233,203 people.
